My name is Kelly Schomburg, I’m the girl with the red hair in these pictures. I was protesting at the Occupy Wall Street march yesterday when I and several other women were sprayed with mace and subsequently arrested. Many have already seen the video, which has been spreading like wildfire over twitter, Facebook, tumblr, and other video feeds, along with hundreds of other photos and videos. This is my recount of what happened.

This motorcycle was at yesterday’s “Thunda Around the Rotunda” rally in Madison, Wisconsin to support workers’ rights.

This cycle is a tribute to NYC’s fallen 9/11 fire fighters and to all fallen fire fighters. As Bin Laden is brought to justice, I think a lot of us are remembering those times again - thinking of the fire fighter heroes who lost their lives while rushing to save others in the towers.

Bin Laden’s death can’t bring those people back or make everything “all right”. But I am hoping that right now a terrorist plan - even the strength of a network -  is deflating because of his passing.
